The video ""The Forgotten People"" records the life of the Miao village of Zhangpojiao, how they built the school and water reservoir. Zhangpojiao has 20 families, with a total of 129 people. During the last 30 long years, their life hasn't experimented the slightest change, every single day doing the same heavy work from sunrise to sunset. They live a life of extreme poverty, with an annual income per family that does not reach 300 CNY. But the worst is that, up to today, when China is trying to make a new census, they are still without identity and registration, still regarded as ""black people, black households"". Lack of registration means no electricity, no roads, no dignity or civil rights!
