Solar enery lamps donation
The Miao villages of Zhangpojiao and Denglongshan have never seen an electric light since the people began to live in these places. Finally, 30 years later, the long-awaited light has finally arrived to the homes of more than 40 families and is quietly illuminating their houses. Although it is not electric light, but the energy-saving solar lights are still bringing light to the lifes of these poor people living in the mountains. People no longer need to burn corn stalks or use kerosene for lighting and, more importantly, it just needs to be about 3 hours under the sun to be able to provide about 2 days of light completely free of charge. Moreover, we have also installed solar lights in the classrooms of our Primary School, so the classrooms are now bright and alive and the children can go there to do their homework and to read after sunset!
We offer our deepest felt thanks to our friend in Macau, Mr. Zhu Decai, for this donation. He has donated 60 solar energy lamps and their light is sparkling in the remote cottages, as stars in the night.
