Summary Report
To make SP Edify work and development in ethnic minority areas in Yunnan can be carried out smoothly, and in order to better abide by the legal and regulatory government framework and develop grounds for cooperation, Saint Paul School from Macau and Yunnan’s NGO Hua Shang Gong Yi have signed a cooperation agreement. Hua Shang will supervise and manage the use of SP Edify’s funds to ensure that all the donated money is used to help students and public welfare undertakings, and to promote good cooperation with the government.
On March 24, 2013 the United States medical organization “Love the World” came again to Yunnan to conduct free clinics in ethnic minority areas in Yunnan. They went to Fumin, Luquan , the Miao village of Zhangpojiao in the region of Kaiyuan, and more than 400 villagers and students underwent a medical examination.
In 2013, the students of Zhangpojiao, under the care and efforts of their teacher, achieved outstanding academic grades. The average grade in language and math reached 94 points, ranking first in the whole area’s group of schools.
During the two holiday’s period of 2013, we organized summer camp activities led by university students in the Daoming schools of Hongpotou, Pingtoushan and Zhangpojiao. In these summer camp activities the students learned a lot of extra-curricular knowledge and brought also to the children a wider variety of vacation life.
We will continue to take all the teachers and students of St. Paul in Macau trust, and strive to make the greatest efforts in 2014.
